So happy I found this community. Defnitely experienced PCDD after seeing The Killers + Franz Ferdinand. I got to meet them and got things signed and everything, it was great. Then I got home and was like wow, I have nothing to look forward to. It's just ... over. Because it was all I thought about before the actual concert so it was just like *blank* what now?!

I got really depressed when I was 13 and I saw the Backstreet Boys on their Millenium Tour. Stop laughing. ;) I was though. I remember crying after.

Right now I am experiencing pre-concert anxiety disorder. Anyone else going to December 5th Mistletoe Jam in Atlanta? Featuring Keane, The Music, Jimmy Eat World, Muse, and Velvet Revolver. It's going to be amazing!

I’m glad I found this community, because I suffer from post concert depression desorder!

It happens to me all the time, but the worst case was when I met Kings of Leon when they played here in Portugal, on a music festival called Rock in Rio.

They are not famous in here, and I was their only fan in the audience. When I realised that I started to make the most noise possible, singing and dancing to all the songs [just like I do in every concert, but this I wanted them to knew that had one big fan there]. When the concert ended I decided to try my luck and met them… I tried to get in the backstage area, and when I was almost giving up… I saw them!

I got to talk with four a couple of minutes, and I saw the Foo Fighters concert with the bass player, Jared.

It was the best night of my life!

I couldn’t sleep and I lost my appetite for a couple of days… lol

They’ll probably never play in Portugal again, so I only have my memories and a couple of photos to remember that night :)

I tought I was the only one with pcdd, but I’m glad you are just like me.

Oh boy. This always happens to me.

Right after the show is fun because me and my friends will be singing and talking about how great the band sounded. Then I get home and I'm all alone and it's all over. Very. Sad.

I'm so glad I found this community. This is quite possibly the worst case of PCDD I've ever experienced.

For months I had been awaiting the arrival of my FAVORITE band in the ENTIRE WORLD [Limbeck] to come. I'm seriously like a crazy, obsessed, NSYNC fangirl when it comes to them. So I knew I would get PCDD after the show and I was trying to prepare myself for it.

We got there really early and waited around, talked to a couple of the guys for a little bit and then went to wait for the show. It was supposed to start at 9:00 but they moved it to 10:00. Whatever, that's fine. 10 rolls around and no one has started playing! The sound check guy [the show was in the basement of a little bar] was so drunk he didn't want to sound check the bands! Everyone was waiting around on him, and the show didn't even start until around 11 or so. Limbeck was the last band to play so we were waiting and waiting for them. In between sets we talked to the lead singer for a really long time and hung out with him off and on at different points of the night.

Now, we're only 17 and we were in a REALLY bad part of town, had school the next day, and it was already past midnight. So we kept calling our parents, who knew Limbeck was our favorite band ever, and they kept letting our curfew go up later and later. By 1 AM Limbeck still had not played and we HAD to be home by 1:30. We ended up getting to hear ONE AND A HALF SONGS from them. During part of the first song, some old, fat, drunk guy got on stage and tried to sing 'Louie, Louie', so that wasted valuable time.

I'm happy I got to talk to them and see a little bit of the set, but I just feel so horrible. All the excitement of the show and getting ready is gone and there's nothing to look forward to.

The most horrible thing in the world is to be walking out of the venue as your favorite band is in the middle of their second song. You can hear Robb's beautiful voice singing 'Julia' and you're closing the door.

I too suffer from PCDD.

After a festival in San Francisco (durring which The Rapture dedicated a song to us and i was smashed into a crowd surfing Julian Casablancas) it was all i could do not to disapear into the confines of my room with the Morrisey on so loud i could just drownd in it.

He hem.

I have also been known to suffer from PCAD (Pre-Concert Anxiety Disorder)-- Case in point: The libertines are coming in September and i will have to brave the security gaurds and roadies in order to see them at a venue i'm too young to technically be in. If i get arrested trying to see the Libertines-- well, it might be worth it...

The only thing more dangerous to an impressionable young music fan than Post-Concert Depression Disorder or Pre-Concert Depression Disorder is MISSED Concert Depression Disorder. In which you miss the "greatest show in the history of the world"-- and get to hear you friend go on about the brilliance of it for a month. This was the case when my mate saw and met Franz Ferdinand... bitch.

That's all. I'm new and quite like this idea.

new(ish) member
and i've recently (meaning tonight) been hit by pcdd :(

so i saw the hives perform in july and it was absolutely amazing (#2 in my top five shows/performances/whatever! hahaha). it was the first night of their entire tour, and they played in this small club pretty close to wear i live. i had such an excellent view of their whole show and was so close to them and AH just the energy of it all! if any of you have read reviews or actually seen them then you totally know what i'm talking about, and you totally know that their shows are just not long enough!!

but for some reason pcdd didn't really hit me until just now
probably because i just picked up their new album.
and i'm listening to it.
and realizing that i won't get to see them live until their next tour and who knows when that will be!! :(

♥ thank you for understanding. i love this community.
